Tracey has undertaken a number of projects (evaluation, scoping exercises) for UK police forces. These include: An analysis of absence in a force control room; a review and remap of HR processes; the identification of contemporary challenges of a UK police force; An evaluation of the effective of a HR business partner model.

Tracey is working with the International Policing and Justice Institute (University of Derby) to deliver research and short courses in police leadership and management. Current research in this area considers the professionalisation of policing agenda.

Tracey is particularly keen to engage with police forces to conduct small scale evaluations of practice in order to build an evidence base in respect of how police organisations are managed.
